Firstly, dripping Rashford was obvious. Why Ten Hag didn’t even give Garnacho 10 on the left is astonishing.

Secondly, Zirkzee did okay, he’s never going to be a high press forward, he’s best when we have control, you can see how he wants to play one touch football.

Finally, we had 50:50 possession, 8 shots each, we actually had one more on target. Zirkzee had a good chance saved by Alison.

Casemiro was the difference first half, after the first goal we did our typical heads dropping,

Ultimately, we e lack quality in the final third. I’ve said it all summer, it doesn’t matter how we set up, our 6/7 options up front are simply not good enough. We don’t have a Son, Salah, Haaland, Palmer, that make the difference when it matters.

The biggest mistake was 3 months ago when we didn't sack the bald cant.

It heather you agree or disagree with this statement; we were the better team for 35 minutes and got into some great positions. Rashford, Zirkzee, Bruno all failed to make it count.

Just back from the game.

Amad should have started. Did more in 5 minutes than Rashford and Garnacho did the whole game.

Zirkzee looks bang average and doesn’t seem to move faster than jogging pace. Another expensive mistake already.

Sigh.

Zirkzee looks bang average and doesn’t seem to move faster than jogging pace. Another expensive mistake already.

Rashford had at least 5 chances to go at a full back one vs one.

He out in one good cross to Zirkzee, but really should have put it on a plate for somebody in the box at least twice before Liverpool scored.

He’s an issue, as are Casemiro and Onana.

He’s in poor form, lacking confidence and has an unrealistic amount of expectation on him in a generally poor team from front to back given his current level (which admittedly is not good enough but here we are).

I would say that is a more accurate assessment than just labelling him, “a disgrace”. What about the other underperforming forwards for us? Are they all disgraces too?

They don’t earn £250k a week, turn up to training late or drunk twice in a many seasons or walk around the pitch looking like these rather be anywhere else.

Whether it’s unrealistic expectations or unfulfilled potential l, he isn’t good enough.
