The Weigh-In:

A rivalry that goes back to 2005, the fiercest of enemies face off in what is set to be a battle of the ages.
Kobayashi, known as Tsuami and the Godfather, found fame in his native Japan before going to the US and breaking records. He won 6 Nathans titles in a row between 2001 and 2006.
The arrival of Chestnut in 2005 saw real competition for Kobayashi, and in 2007 Chestnut took the title. 2008 saw some controversy, as the battle ended in a dead heat before Chestnut won a 5 dog shoot-out. After seeing Chestnut win the next couple, Kobayashi stepped away from Nathans competition due to contract disputes. That allowed Chestnut to dominate until this year, when sponsorship issues meant he too didn't compete.
The rivalry is across many disciplines, but it is this one that holds the most prestige, and tonights event should be quality TV. It should be 10 minutes of pure sporting drama!
Chestnut is heavy favourite (-700) with Kobayashi at +400.
