If we are comparing those 8 alone then Ronaldo is the bargain of the century

Interesting. Only Ronaldo on that list has been worth that money. There are another couple (Griezmann, Neymar) who were world class players you can see why people paid big money for them at the time - but ultimately flopped after big money moves.

The rest I can only assume are involved in some elaborate money-laundering scheme.
