Middle of September and only our second home league game of the season which sees the geordie magpies visit Molineux for a fixture that almost always ends in a 1-1 draw, occasionally 2-2.
After the disruption of the transfer window followed by an international break Gary O'Neil will at least have an additional 24 hours to work with his new squad but it will probably be another week or two before he really gets a proper grasp of what these players can deliver. Craig Dawson brought stability to the back four in Nottingham, decisions on who to pair him with though, Mosquera or Bueno? Toti to left back? RAN on the wing if fit? Semedo too brought his 23/24 form. Then midfield, Lemina, Gomes, Doyle, Andre, pick your pairing. Larsen and Cunha probably pick themselves, so Hwang, Bellegarde, Guedes, Sarabia, Gomes and Forbs battle it out for the final shirt. Then there's options too at goalkeeper, does Sa return to the squad after his disruptive late August?
Some nice problems to have. Difficult to know what right blend is though. Time for the coach to earn his corn, no one's hitting the panic button yet but the longer this run continues the more the pressure builds. It's a horrible run of games but important that we don't fall in to a trap of thinking the points will start to flow in November and everything will be OK. Nicking points off the bigger clubs should be the aim, Villa away, Liverpool home, Brentford away, Man City home, & Brighton away doesn't appear to be fertile ground for points. Scraping and scrapping for anything we can looks to be the requirement.
Newcastle are in reasonably decent form, have started the season unbeaten but have been in three tight games.
Would love a victory but it's got 1-1 written all over again ay it.

Interesting to see what defence we put out at Brighton tomorrow in the Carabao Cup. Evidently Mosquera, Dawson and Toti won’t be fit to play. Neither will new signing meupiyou. Santi Bueno will play, who knows who else.
Hope we see the likes of Rodrigo Gomes, Lima and Forbs get some game time.

That's a shame, as the lad has potential and I was hoping to see him this season. At least he's with another ex Wolves youth player, Christian Marques.

Mosquera, Toti and Ait Nouri all will miss tonight’s game due to injuries but should all be fit for the game at Villa on Saturday. Dawson will be rested tonight as will Semedo and Andre.
Brighton too will make a number of changes to their line up and have a few injury problems themselves with Pedro, March, Rutter, Milner, Lamptey all likely to be missing
