Do we ever learn

Anges press conference suggests heavy rotation tomorrow night - Colchester, Burnley, Middlesbrough, Sheff U - zero lessons learnt.

Ange himself rotated us out last season at Fulham when we had no Euro footy.

Remember when Ange blamed the fans - it’s all our fault

I want to see the likes of Spence, Drag, Gray, Bergvall, Odobert and Sarr start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, those are the deserving ones but I want to see Moore trusted. If Odobert plays over Moore I’ll be annoyed. Put them both on. What was the point of playing him all pre-season only to overlook him beyond that? Anyone would think we only did it to ensure he signed a pro deal. πŸ€”

Moore didn't play for the U21's so there is a chance he could be included in the squad but guessing he might get minutes off the bench to begin with. Makes sense to ease him in.

Play a strong side, get a couple of goals up and then make some changes.

If we want to heavily rotate then the Qarabag game is perfect - if we faaack it up we are not out of the comp unlike tomorrow.

Youngsters coming in want to play with the first team, otherwise it just becomes an exhibition match for the U21

It’s not perfect. They’ll be tough opposition. They nearly put out Leverkusen last year. I’d rather see us take the Europa League seriously than the league cup.

Starting to wonder if Ange doesn't fancy this gig and is trying to get himself sacked. He looks bloody miserable stood on the sidelines not saying a word with his arms crossed and he's getting very chippy in his pressers.

A weak team and a feeble loss with be one step closer to a hefty payoff just in time for Summer on the beach in Oz
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He is a bloody fool if we go out - will be another season we treat a domestic cup like something we just trod in. What is wrong with this club, why doesn’t it want to win trophies?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone that thinks any of our recent managers really think like supporters, needs to give their head a wobble. They don't. They know even if they are sacked they will get a good payout, and probably be back in another job in a couple of months. I doubt Ange had ever been to WHL until he came for the interview. It's just another job to him. He won't really be bothered whether Spurs beat Coventry or not. He just wants to give his squad players a run out. He has no real idea what winning a trophy means to fans.

Am I the only one that wants to see us rotate? I think bringing in Bergvall, Gray and Moore is our Saka/Smith Rowe moment. When Arteta decided to do away with Aubameyang and Lacazette, he looked to his academy. From there they never looked back. Tomorrow is an opportunity to stake a claim. I’d rather see what these lads can do with 90 mins than see the same players be given the same chances over and over.

There is only one academy player in the woolwich team right now and that's Saka. He brought Trossard and then Jesus.

But I do agree we should rotate. Games are coming thick and fast. Time to give some game time to the players you mentioned.

Not completely true Nwaneri is coming through and likely to play a number of games this year. Myles Lewis-Skelly also another name that might very well figure this season.

8 points off league pace, with only 4 games played.

And the prospect of 4 London league derbies in the space of 6 weeks. With league games away to United and Brighton sandwiched in between.

Anyone would be forgiven for choosing to hunker down and concentrate on the league campaign.

It is true, because he never looked or fully trusted the academy players at the time he replaced Auba and Laca. He went out and brought players.

quite right...it's a much higher level of comp that you have no chance of lifting...
