It is widely believed that it is only a matter of time before MKD will become the force to be reckoned with that was predicted in the close season.
Their stats in their most recent league game away at Wimbledon (L 0-3) are amazing. They utterly dominated possession, but did not seem to get the ball into scoring positions.
Their match against Salford was lost more narrowly, but more recently they beat Walsall 1-0.
Their best result was 3-0 against Carlisle whose start could not be much worse.
A remarkable stat is the number of passes they normally chalk up - 600+ seems typical compared with Rovers whose 400 odd is usually more than their opponents. They must do a lot of knocking it round at the back! Will Rovers just let them get on with it and watch or will they challenge? It may not be too good to watch. We really need to win to maintain the momen’um!
It seems very difficult to predict what will happen, So I’ll go for a 2-2 draw (Molyneux/Sharp). I’d like to see Ironside start and will put him ahead of the 2 if he does.

We certainly need to bounce back - but what team will Grant pick? I like what DFP is suggesting for the team.
Today I'll be optimistic and say 2-1 to the Rover with Ironside scoring if he starts, or Molyneux.
When I see the team tomorrow, I may change all that!

Similarly, it's a 2-1 from me. Ironside, or Sharp if he starts.

I'd have preferred Kelly, and maybe Yeboah instead of Gibson.

I stopped watching after the red card as to me the ref was spoiling the game. They were fouls, but the second was never a yellow, and the first very harsh as it was not stopping a breakaway. The ref appears want a no tackle game. The chickification of football!
I think Grant will have to be careful with his comments!!!
I'm watching Spurs vs. Brentford instead.

I watched the game against ManU U-21 (including Tommy Rowe!!!), and Rovers blew it from a good position.
Unfortunately, we had another "no contact" ref with very little EFL experience. I thought Kasper Williams tackled was great, as did the commentators. Then a foul was given...and then a yellow card. I thought, last Saturday here we come!
I thought the Man U youngsters were faster and more likely to challenge than the Rovers. Their first goal saw a guy go a long way with no challenges, cross to a guy who had people around him, but no challenges. May be because of Williams' yellow, they ere nervous about a challenge! Lawlor could have been unsighted, but he was frozen to the spot.
Our equalizer was little lucky because of the deflection, but the go-ahead goal should have been Billy's, but he hit the post and Yeboah reacted the quickest. The third was a great chip over the GK by Broadbent, and then we seemed to think it was over. Kelly's mistake gave them a second, and then Molyneux misses a 'Sitter", blazing over. That would have put the game to bed.
Then in the sixth minute of the five minutes added,...!!!!!

The starting 11 built a winning position which was thrown away by the more experienced substitutes.
The U21s were good footballers, but Rovers countered with a less fancy, but more effective style.
And he way that so many fans seem to think Lawlor is as good as TSL makes me wonder whether they have ever seriously considered what the job of goalkeeper entails. I could stand and watch the ball pass with a foot or so of me and pretend I was wrong-footed, unsighted or simply felt I had not chance of saving it. Indeed I think I could be a better goalkeeping coach that Mr Letheran. I also think McCann carries a lot of blame for employing two useless goalkeepers and on this occasion for making unnecessary substitutions.
Fans seem to think McCann is utterly faultless, but I and beginning to think that his management up to January 2024 may be more indicative of his ability than the record-breaking run.
