I must be watching a different Mainoo to everyone else because I thought he was one of best players today.

Who said he wasn't?
I swear people have a point they want to confirm sometimes. I have them too but common. He was literally the only one doing everything. Did they think aEriksen was proving his worth?

It's funny how Eriksen, who wasn't used that much last season and a lot of us would have been happy to see go in the summer, is now fairly key for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is not key for us and shouldn’t be. He will play a lot more this season because ETH will rotate more.
Today he was knackered for the last ten minutes of the first half and big holes started to appear in midfield around the hour mark.
I will be shocked if he starts mid week.

I don't think he was poor at all. My only comment on him is that I'd like to see him on the ball more. That could be down to instruction or it's not his game at present. That'll come though I'm sure.

This is a good chart illustrating the game at Selhurst Park.

I personally don't think he should be key for us, but he's started our last 3 games. For whatever reason, it seems to be either him or Cas for ETH (altho they both started last Wed), altho Cas not used much in recent league games. Not sure why Ugarte didn't start yesterday, he's played international games recently and I would have thought after a few subs appearances would have been ready to start.
I would prefer Eriksen coming on and helping control games with half an hr to go or so, against tiring legs. And of course both he and Cas will play a bit more due to squad rotation, but this early in the season, I was surprised not to see Ugarte starting.

Ugarte will be starting games once he’s fully up to speed.
People tend to focus a lot on fitness readiness when players join new clubs, but there can also be a lot of role-based tactical stuff to take on board before players are ready.

Yep, agree on the point about Ugarte.
