Morning all🌞.
Life feels so much better the morning after a win👍😁 and maybe that’s why I’m writing this thread as I am.
However, I think DF deserves a little space now to show us he can fix the glaring problem of our inefficiency in front of goal. He’s clearly aware of it; we’re all aware of it and I’m certain the players will be acutely aware of it too. If DF was in denial, I’d be calling for his head. He’s not denying it and in my view he now needs to be given time to fix it. If he can’t fix it, clearly he needs to go. I’d give him until Christmas and if necessary, replace him in readiness for the January transfer window.
I don’t have a ready solution (Piroe? Joseph? Bamford?), I don’t have a clear idea as to who could replace him as manager and I also fully respect those fans that are calling for him to be replaced now.
I just think that with his unequivocal acceptance of the problem (on display again in his latest post-match presser - see link below), plus 4 clean sheets and nearly 2 points per game out of his opening 6 league games, he deserves the time to show us he can fix this problem.

I’m gonna throw him a bone … for now

Ah, even mention of Alioski makes me feel nostalgic for those not-so-far-off days. The players we had then oozed confidence in front of goal and even though Alioski, Berardi and Klich would drive you to despair with their wayward shots from outside the box, they were fearless. But who wouldn't be under Bielsa? Different times now but yes, let's hope Farke encourages the players to take a leaf out of Piroe's book and shoot on sight more often.

Piroe's goal was a really tight angle, very good finish from there. As others said, other players would have pulled it back and looked to cross it.
Farke has a 100 mil super squad and will get us up.

Funny but this time last year people wanted Farke out, and he did a great job, didn't get us up but it had to be our luck that the points tally we had would have most seasons got us up!..
He's having the same start now that he had last season, best players going just before the seasons start and new coming in that he has to plan with!..
I hope he doesn't go because I think he can with a little time make it work!..

Good point that has been ignored when judging Farke.
Losing Sinisterra on deadline day who was about to be key player, losing Rutter 1 game into the season who was a key player. There’s been a lot of chopping and changing in the squad but Farke has kept them mostly ticking on and winning games. Our front 4 yesterday was pretty much a new look one to last season.

Very good thread and comments. Saturday was dire, in case anyone has forgotten. You can say '...on another day...' or 'any other season, we go up with 90 points', but we didn't go up, and on Saturday, we saw the most expensive squad in the division look like a bunch of wallflower. We lacked courage and self-belief. Yes, we have 11 points, but who did we get them against?
We have lost our stars and it shows. No-one is stepping up to lead the way. Allied to this are Farke's familiar failings. If he stays, our key players will be burned out again by February. Maybe the league is weaker this year, but so are we. If he stays, brace yourselves for another forty- match train wreck. Farke out.

heart, you say very good thread and comments and then write that!..
Er, ok!..
Like I said but others have also said it, this time last year he was getting the same crap, but hey, it took him a little time to get his new players playing his way, no reasons to say he cant do the same again!..
Time will tell but 6 games in and 5pts behind first writing him of at this time again ain't going to help any!..

good thread and agree with a lot of things said here.
the first ten games of any season, and any club can breed strange results and performances so I'm not going to judge anything just yet.
Vs Cardiff who are a poor side granted, but one of our bogey teams that always raise there game vs Leeds or so it seems anyway.
sometimes the result is all that matters, 3 points away at Cardiff is good result for us... lets move on to the next game

We basically had to start all over again just like last season.
I think Farke is doing a good job with a few hiccups along the way.
Wouldn't want to get rid of him until his replacement has a summer to prepare, so imo this year is his.
What we have never really replaced is a number ten and right now in this league that's all I think we need and to get Aaronson onto the bench

True. Watching Leeds at 4.00 a.m. is never a good time to judge our progress, but I watched the second half again and it was even worse than I remembered. it. We looked toothless and were it not for a tidy save from Meslier, it could have been 1-1, just before Piroe made it safe for us.
So, my view is that we bite the bullet now, rather than deal with it in March, when it will be too late.
