Disappointing end but positives...

The second half was like watching rugby union. We really put our bodies on the line. Shame it ended how it did, but we would have taken the point at half time I think.

What needs to be remembered is we played Thursday night in Italy, the players got back on Friday morning and then had to travel to Manchester. No preparation time but more importantly no recovery time for tired limbs. Given the way our squad has been stretched and players have come back from injuries it was a great effort. The players were clearly out on their asses at the end. Three very difficult away games in a week negotiated. A win would have been massive but a point is still good under the circumstances.

Martinelli had a good game, and was rewarded with an assist.
Calafiori had a dream debut goal. Everyone else pitched in. Can't really fault anyone but Trossard.

We move on, Bolton next in the League Cup. A chance to make changes, Sterling should get his first start while the likes of Kiwior, Jorginho, Jesus should come in. But, perhaps more excitingly, we should see Ethan Nwaneri start. His good mate Myles Lewis Skelly made his senior debut today - not before he got his first booking!!

Our schedule doesn't let up this side of the international break. Home league games against Leicester and Southampton sandwich a massive CL home tie against PSG. We end this period away to Bournemouth.

The ref spoiled the game. But he plays for them so understandable Trossard was foolish. Slightly disappointed that we didn't try to get the 3rd goal in the 2nd half. The amount of shots they had was a hard watch but they are the biggest cheats in the history of football and didn't deserve to equalize because they are a bunch of caanntts but that's how it goes

I think we can win the league if we win the remaining 33 games

Trossard didn’t delay the restart, the ref should be yellow carded or sent off for that daft decision and a less incompetent one brought on

This was a monumental Arsenal display. I am proud of what we did.

From the beginning on City tried to cheat us. It begun with Rodri who tried to get off Havertz after a few seconds of the game. From that moment on City tried everything to alert the ref of every single incident.

The ref certainly influenced the game with strange decisions.

Arsenal set out to disrupt through any means and fortunately, didn't get the 3 points. Their outlook makes them too about them to get over the line come May. Just win games, not cheat them.

Literally the first thing that happened in the game was Rodri trying to cheat the ref So glad karma came back to get him.
City know they can't beat Arsenal 11 v 11 and need the ref to bail them out.

Rodri got what he deserved after faking injury at the beginning

Indeed and you may also recall the match, in the last few seasons if I remember correctly where he should have seen red but stayed on to score the winner.

Never underestimate the power of karma!

The ref didn't want to negatively impact the game then either...
