He was a classy player at Spurs and integral to the huge progress we made under Poch. The standout success from the Bale money.
But those days seem like an age ago now, he was on the wane when we sold him to Inter, which is why I find it weird that 5 years after he left us, recovered from a heart attack, he's starting games in the heart of Man Utds midfield.
Will be interesting to see whether he plays there this week. I expect ETH will go for a more all together solid CM but if he does get some minutes I hope he gets a good reception from the travelling Spurs fans.
I don't miss his free kicks and corners hitting the first man though

Was KDB lite at Spurs, these days he is a shadow of that player.
Always love him though, scored some great goals for us and nearly always played brilliantly.
We were right not to bring him back though - the same with Poch

Think both Eriksen and Super Jan left us too soon.

I don’t think they did - we just didn’t replace them well enough initially. Now we have VDV and Romero - and a crazy high line.
Fully expecting United to drop it over the top for Rashford on Sunday. However, we will press the schitt out of their defence and they will cough up plenty of chances as well. Expecting it to finish 3-2 to either side

He was probably our last decent direct freekick taker

Kane pretty much bookmarked his 9 year Spurs career with freekicks but i don't think he actually scored one in between.

I loved Eriksen at Spurs, but he and Sprus have moved on. I wish him well. But he is clearly not as good as he was eight or nine years back.

Excellent way of putting it. And it was fitting in a way - my brother was at the game - even though we lost.
