Magnum. For the avoidance of doubt. We have both been in the presence of Peter Schmeichel. We both agree he’s a plumb. At no point have I questioned the validity the you were in the same Hotel for most of the afternoon.

We did not bring our A game but even if we did, we probably would has lost, just not as heavily.

We were poor because:

No CCV
Too many stray passes
Giving away 2 daft penalties
Not closing down quickly enough
Lots more poor stuff besides

No CCV was absolutely massive, as we all knew beforehand. The only defender we have who can bring a bit of composure and calmness. Add in the folly of thinking Taylor & Scales are going to be OK in Europe … they’re not. Beyond that, we don’t/can’t bring our A game away in Europe because we wet the bed in possession of the ball at that level. Everything else follows from that.

Celtic getting criticised for refusing to adapt our style of play in Europe.
Rangers getting criticised for having no recognisable style of play.

Lesser of the two evils I suppose?
