Great series win, should be a template going forward at home.

I think this pitch wasn't too bad at all, if you applied yourself there were runs to get - Smith & Shakeel proved that.

England were just shocking v spin and their spinners were not as good as ours which is probably an experienced thing.

Agree. No comparison between Leach and Swann for example. Leach just doest have the variation of flight and speed of delivery.

The issue here is that England can't p,ayers spin. That has been the case for as long as I can remember back to when we used to play with uncovered pitches.

The reason is that with the main exception of Somerset and Essex, other clubs just don't prepare wickets that offer turn. They prepare green tops at the beginning of the season.

The other main issue is the scheduling of CC matches meaning they are never played when pitches might be dry.

Ergo, out batsman have feck all experience of playing spin under challenging conditions.

International calendar means England have to travel regardless. It's not different to green tops in England.

well done Pakistan. thoroughly deserved the series.. They did the right thing after the first test and change tact.. better than boring yourself to losses or draws on dead pitches.
