Rutter

They can't handle him in the prem.
Quite literally!
Fouled the life out of him in the Championship.
He's found his place.
Good luck to him!

Yes he had a great 2nd half as did the whole Brighton team and Rutter played a vital part in them winning...wonderful finish for his goal and lovely silky skillful assist for Wellbeck to complete a cracking comeback. Brilliant game unless you're a Spurs fan but Dpurs were excellent in the first half but didn't or couldn't keep it going and cope with the Brighton determined fightback....Rutter looked at home and seems to have more than found his feet in the Premier League.

Gets alot of fouls because of way he plays, holds onto the ball alot, sometimes far too long.

Dont think champ is anymore physical than prem.

He’ll do well, he’s a really good player.

I think the Championship is a whole lot more physical than the prem.
A fair few thugs guising as footballers lurking in this division and getting away with blue murder!

Rutter can do stuff in the prem that he couldn't do in this league, he's much more protected. Refereeing in the championship, sketchy at best.
If they had VAR in this league, we would initially have some 120 minute games imo

Not for me, barely see a tackle in championship.

Even Aarronson copes easy with it

To be fair Aaronson usually gives the ball away before anyone gets near him.

Always liked Rutter but there were plenty of rough edges... gave the ball away in dangerous areas and cost us plenty of goals. Bit like he did for Spurs' first yesterday. Scores the odd great goal but generally his finishing is poor. May become a really good premier league player if he sort's out his decision-making.

Personally, although not like for like, I think Summerville and Rutter moving on has allowed Gnonto to be main man... and he's stepped up. Every cloud and all that...

yeah, I often thought Rutter was a bit of a Blunderbus for us. Deffo loads of potential but would he ever get it all together.

The shrewdie Tony Bloom has taken a gamble and he rarely makes mistakes.

Rutters strength while turning on a sixpence didn't bare as much fruit as anticipated in the championship but may well prove more effective in the prem. Assists, a few goals and
maybe winning Brighton a few penalties along the way.

Like you said, Gnonto knitting us together nicely.

As galling as it was when he left us, you also have to feel proud of the guy as well as pleased for him. He's found his level.
Meanwhile poor Kalvin goes from bad to worse, judging by Saturday's game vs West Ham.

As good as Rutter was yesterday I still think Archie will turn out to be the best of those 3 star players that left us in the summer and I really do think Ange should start utilising him more in the Spurs first team... heck if he'd been playing yesterday in that 2nd half even in his least preferred defensive position I'm sure Spurs don't collapse the way they did without him and get at least a draw.
