It has to be very difficult to acknowledge when someone better takes your position. I think he should have stayed as a no.2 and tried to improve. He was young enough.

Can't watch it as it's location restricted but think it was best for everyone that he left. He deserves a crack at another top club and still has time on his side but for now needs to solidify his rep at Southampton.
He would've got very few games with us and jumping in just for the odd game is a bit of a poisoned chalice as you'll never be match sharp. We also needed to bring in cash over the summer and he held some decent value.
The whole "concentration" saga probably harmed his chances of a big move a bit but I really didn't understand the issue, he very rarely had lapses of concentration so whatever he was doing worked. In hindsight he should've kept quiet regardless.

Think it was the right call for him to move, I just wish for his sake he had gone to a better club - Newcastle would have been great for him. Feel for him that he's probably going to be relegated for the third time
