Another poor game at the weekend.
It looks like a lot of our worries are being proved correct. He's just not athletic enough for the league, so when he does have the ball a lot of his passes are under pressure and therefore over/under hit.

Where other players are flourishing (caicedo, palmer, madueke, sancho) he is stagnant and either ghosts through games or affects them negatively.

He does seem to have a negative affect it seems to me !

It's becoming less & less justifiable to claim him being an 100mil pound player that's for sure. Offers almost no direct goal threat at all which you kind of need too for that money, not even seeing a good shot on him which was something he was meant to have/saw at the World Cup.

He's looking more & more like just a mobile Jorginho who's not as good defensively yet. That's OK for what it is but not someone worth the hype he had, which is a disappoint.

The manner in which he joined us is bugging me retrospectively now too. I thought he was a moron at the time for rushing into it when he could've been football's golden boy that summer.

But with him being the only player last year where there were rumours of him wanting out/telling his agent to feel out potential interest, I'm developing concerns that maybe he's not a moron, but in fact just a fickle b!tch

yep for all jorginos shortcomings (actually not a very good passer at all, just moved the ball well, and was slow) his reading of the game and being able to intercept was underrated. He could read the game very well.
