Awful pens from Thomason and Collins . Fairly irrelevant really as already got the point needed to stay ahead of Fleetwood and wouldn't have qualified if won the shootout. Thought villa a decent side , definitely the best u21 side we have played and that includes city, Liverpool and United.

The last match of the group is effectively straight knockout. Who wins goes through. Would need to win the shootout if a draw. That's 12th November. Again that would be the week when players are called up for international duty so all 3 group games struggled to put a team together. I make it 13 first team players missing last night.

Reducing the number of teams in the three EFL divisions is the answer to sorting out the games that have to be played when the International Week games are being played.
However, That will never happen so we are stuck with playing without the services of our best players.

No game today which is fortunate as I have to go to Bolton yet again. Buying furniture for the new house is taking up most of my time.
I see that the FA has charged Evatt with misconduct. His punishment will probably be a large fine and a ban from the touchline.
It's about time he grew up, controlled his temper and set a better example to the squad.

I just shut myself down after the villa game. Was having a row with Gary Henshaw on Facebook the jist of which he should really know better. Not been well either so building myself up for 4 big league games sat/Tues/sat/Tues. Good to have a rest from it all.
