Hi guys, it's been over a year since I made my debut on here but that's because of my wife's health requiring my full attention. Right now she is improving so I have taken the time to comment here. There are many things I could talk about but the thing that took my attention today was
golf.
I was watching the French Open and noticed that the winner, Dan Bradbury, had in his back pocket where they keep their score card and course info was in a folder with LUFC along the top. Anyway I checked him out....he was born in Wakefield and still lives in Wakefield so we must now have a celebrity LUFC supporter. Anyone else see this ?
Another supporter

I watched some of the golf today and was impressed with his game for a relatively youngish player 25/26 this is his 2nd tour victory and hopefully he might turn out to be an English version of Scottie Scheffler... similar physique I thought.
I didn't notice the LUFC alliegencies you've relayed in
your post but saw that he was from Wakefield so I did wonder if he followed Leeds United so yes definitely he's a celebrity Leeds fan I shall look out for now.
Glad to hear your wife is improving "Another Supporter" and hopefully the more we see of you on here is a good sign too and incidentally I've never been interested in gaming online but I discovered a free online golf game called World Golf Tour a few days ago and I am hooked.... which is an apt term because I'm hooking all my shots and getting beat by everyone I play.. I'm so rubbish atm but like I say it's great fun and a brilliant diversion if you should have some spare time.

Welcome back 46 and glad your wife's health is improving. Didn't see the golf because I was on the links myself today. Still carrying my bag but I'm comotose on the couch right now.

ah that makes sense... really empty a lot of shops juts not there, plenty of coffee shops mind, surrounded by shops like poundland though

It was a big mistake moving it from the Ridings to Trinity. The old market hall should have remained and it would have made a great food hall like Leeds indoor market has become.

Thanks for your kind comments guys.
I worked in Wakefield for about a year in 1960 travelling from Leeds on my scooter. I didn't really get to know it because I moved to Morley and really enjoyed living there.... but that could have been because I'd just got married !

Leeds fan since 1946? That's more than enough suffering for one lifetime. 😉
