What a lot of fans tend to forget is that spurs are only rivals in geography terms not trophy terms to us there like what Everton are to Liverpool and what Man City used to be like to man united 20 years ago although spurs are a much bigger club than Everton when poch was Spurs manager he said Chelsea was a bigger rivalry for spurs

I found out the other day that only 20 Concordes were ever built. Really surprised me.

Thought it would have been less than that!

You surprise me.
I think only 10 were in operation at any one time, Air France had 4 and BA had 6.
Maybe it was the other way round.

What never made sense to me is Concorde only ever had 1 crash which was enough to get them grounded, yet Boeings seem to fall out of the sky every month and nothing ever happens.

Think it was more cost cutting than that one crash. 9/11 happened not long after too.

What did it for concorde was the fact that so few of them were made. They were in service for over 30 years but flying hours they did less than 747's did as a fleet inside a year.Basically flaws where ironed out with 747's inside 2 years of service because of hours in the sky, Concorde's never had that opportunity as they flew so little

US airlines refusing to buy Concorde meant the aircraft operated at a loss for most of their existence.
The manufacturers make the big bucks on selling replacement parts which is a thriving industry when you have 100s, even 1000's of planes of the same series in operation but not if you only have 10 or so.

In an effort to not just pointlessly comment to derail a post - i think Spurs are our historic rivals and would suggest that any Gooner who doesn't think so is quite young.
Yes other teams have been more competitive and proved a harder challenge recently but we ain't that good that we can completely disregard them. Chelsea were two-bob before they took the Russian money and are no where near as big a rival as Spurs are.
