Trump headed to the White House?

I really hope I’m wrong on this but the polls are showing he’s in the lead and the momentum Kamala has seems to be waning. The bookies had her as favourite and now she’s gone from 1.79 to 2.20. I think shes a good candidate but probably not dynamic enough to convince enough people to get out and vote against a 45% hardcore MAGA base that will vote for Trump no matter how gross he is. She’ll easily win the popular vote but the electoral college is what may well bring her down.

Who is to blame? For me the mainstream media - and I include the likes of CNN, MSNBC and ABC all of whom are scaed to show Trump for the dementia-riddled mess that he is whilst doing that for Biden.

What will happen next? The plan seems to be once Trump is in power Vance will invoke the 25th amendment and force Trump out due to ill health then pardon him for his crimes allowing him to go play golf and a Vance/Thiel cabal will push forward with project 2025. Scary stuff for women and minorities in the US.

My biggest gripe with this theory though is that people never seem to take into account the sheer scale of people that would need to be in on it. Do you know how many people are involved in the production of a drug in one way or another, including the researchers and scientists themselves who have absolutely no interest in hiding their accomplishments? All of them just keep silent about it? Not a chance.

This is the case with most crack pot conspiracy theories. People simply fail to, or ignore, that sheer impracticalities of what they’re proposing.

I think the psychological studies into conspiracy theorists conclude that many that think this way assume, incorrectly, that the people involved have far more control over the world than they do, and it’s more comforting to assume this than to acknowledge the lack of control and chaos that exists in the world.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I tried to do the math on the COVID conspiracists who were claiming that no ICU and respiratory wards were overflowing/there weren’t ventilator or oxygen shortages/etc. once.

I forget the exact outcome now, but there’d have to have been (very literally) millions of people around the world conspiring to uphold that particular myth

But they still believed it to be true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They’re mental. It’d take millions upon millions of people to all be in collusion across the globe. You only have to go on facking Twitter to see that you can’t get people to agree on anything, let alone something on this scale.

Also, please do not EVER say ‘math’ to me again. Maths or mathematics are the only acceptable words to use.

That sums it up....

Besides all of RRs, critique, it must also be remembered,
He is, a, proven liar,
A criminal,
A, molester of women, at best.
A, multiple bankrupt, driving, many, small business to the wall.
He, was, a draft Dodger.
Hes not fit to hold any public office.

Those are some pretty harsh accusations to level at RR. Can't even begin to imagine what people might say if he does run.

It really comes down to the so-called 'blue wall' of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. It looks like Trump will easily take back the likes of Arizona and Georgia. So Harris has to win all three of the blue wall states and she's doing badly in Pennsylvania, some outlets have even ruled that out as a 'toss-up' state now and put it in the Republican bracket. Michigan is also slipping away it seems. Wisconsin has only voted Republican once since 1968 so she might take that.

The problem for her especially in Pennsylvania is Biden only won it by a wafer thin margin and polling indicates he is far more popular at the time than she was, even Hillary in 2016 is more popular than Harris. Doesn't look good at all for the Democrats.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy money, only small surprise is she lost the popular vote.

Because he has sent people back to vote for the previous worst president in history.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We don’t know that yet. He might not have swung any significant number of Dems to the Reps. I haven’t seen any polling or even anecdotal evidence to say that Dems have switched sides in large numbers due to Biden.

Even at the point at which he announced he wasn’t going to run, which was, I think we can all agree (as does the data) a pretty low ebb, Trump was only leading him by a few points.

I wouldn’t say that’s a very strong argument for him being the worst president in history, or even worse than Trump.

Wanna back track on this? 😅

Why?

The exit polls showed that there was no great swing to Trump. Overwhelmingly, the people who voted for him last time voted for him again. In fact, he garnered almost exactly the same number of votes.

Democrats didn’t turn out for Kamala. If you can show me that that the reason for that was entirely due to Biden, then please go ahead.

Do I think the Dems have failed the US working class? Yes, yes I do. But Biden isn’t the first Dem president to do that.
