Yes, it tough with 10 men but fack me we are playing Bournemouth
City and Pool would not have lost like that playing with 10 men.
City and Pool would have pummeled their keeper and would have created numerous chances
We started effectively 3 DM in MF and then just packed the entire team with defensive minded players with 2 attacking players who have no pace.
I just don't get the defensive minded set up in every away game, regardless of the opponent
Arteta is way too reserved in games

You looked shiiit with 11 men and with 10 men.
Think you need to be more adventurous to win the league.

Arteta has become obsessed with defending now and it's filtering into every game we play, especially away from home

He is risk adverse it's something he's got to get past I get it against certain teams but that won't win us the league.

Arteta has done well considering our fixtures and injuries so far but he got it all wrong yesterday.
Without Saka, Marti and Ode, there had to be some sort of creative spark in midfield but Arteta opted for 3 workhorses instead, with no pace up front to threaten Brighton on the counter.
This brings me back to his poor squad management last season and reluctance to use youth players, Nwaneri clearly should have started but because Arteta has almost never used him in the past, there was no way he was going to trust Nwaneri to start a PL match.
Taking Sterling off for Kiwior was also completely unnecessary and set the tone for the rest of the game. There is no way Pep or Klopp make that sub at 0-0.
