Stats prove there is no Arsenal conspiracy

Opta data, gathered by talkSPORT BET, shows Arsenal pick up a booking every 5.39 fouls, which is the highest figure in the league.

Arteta's side have committed 97 fouls this season, with only West Ham, Wolves and Bournemouth conceding more.

Poor Wolves

Minus 20

This doesnt seem accurate, espn do one every season back to 19/20 including one so far this season. I totalled up liverpools back to 19/20 season and they have us -2.

its very swingy though -6 one season +5 the next, as to be expected i guess its just looking at times VAR got involved and if it benefitted or went against them most of which were correct to do so ofc.

Yeah tbh I don’t believe -20 is accurate for a second.

Wolves do seem to have rotten luck with var though.

They could have just scored 20 clearly offside goals that var ruled out. Be better looking at sumin like this.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/premier-league-var-wrong-decisions-32882878

data from the Independent Key Match Incidents Panel (KMI) has now revealed the full list of 30 VAR errors made this season. . If an incident isn't listed, the panel said it was correct or not a clear and obvious error.

i looked for liverpool ones only, and theres 3 involving liverpool games. all 3 went against liverpool last season.

Theres 4 sorry all 4 went against Liverpool*

So we have the highest mean on fouls per booking however are the 4th team to commit the most fouls, which would indicate we’re ‘dirty/cheats’ or something else 👀

Aside from that, taking your stats from talkwum’s is pretty 😳

I’d love to hear your views on the BLATANT inconsistencies though…..😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The inconsistencies are getting worse as they keep changing the laws of the game and making it more and more complex. Handball, Offside, last defender/DOGSO.

And then they are handing these laws to the very same people that faaacked up the Dias goal against Spurs.

My current favourite one in the pub leagues I ref in are whether/when the keeper has control of a ball - the law is that the keeper has control of it touches any part of the hand or arm unless it rebounds or was a shot - faaaack me the arguments you get.

The laws an ass

I get why the Saliba one is frustrating when you see Tosin only get booked a day later for a near identical offence. The excuse on that one was the ball was travelling off to the right away from goal - personally I thought that should be a red, but the law allows some discretion there and the ref used it.

I still believe the Man City goal was fine, I don’t believe Silva was interfering.

The worst decision of the weekend was the ref in the Spurs game initially booking Kudus for twice kicking a prone VDV and then shoving him in the face. Compounding it by also booking VDV for god knows what. Kudus is now going to get a lengthier ban (rightly so) after VAR intervened but we can’t do anything about VDVs ridiculous yellow. That ref needs dropping for this weekend, absolutely shocking
