Was Mbappe a bad signing for Real?

I rate the guy loads but in a side with Vini Jr, signing Mbappe was like buying a pizza when you’ve just eaten a roast dinner.

Buying an actual striker - Haaland perhaps (if they’d waited a year) or Isak etc would have imo led to a more cohesive side. Bellingham wouldn’t be played almost as a full back and it wouldn’t be messing up something that was working well before he got there.

They’re not an awful side by any stretch of the imagination and will at worse come second to the brilliant Flicki Flaka Barca but I just feel Mbappe should have moved somewhere else. If he had any real ambition and utter confidence in his ability to be the best in the world a move to Arsenal would have made more sense. And I know you may point to the words ‘ambition’ and ‘Arsenal’ in the same sentence over Real and think this guy is insane or wumming but how he would have been deployed and the impact he would have made would I think he much bigger than what he’s gonna end up doing at Real. Mbappe would have taken Arsenal up a level but at Real he’s arguably taken them a notch below.
