Gabriel Jesus ended his 9 month drought.
Kiwior put in a strong performance with 2 assists a cherry on top.
The highlight was, of course, the Ethan Nwaneri goal. 3 goals in 2 starts for the lad.
Arteta treated it as a training exercise, starting Timber and Merino to give them more game time as they get back to full fitness. Both were replaced at half time.
Tommy Setford made his senior debut. No need to dwell on his performance, he kept a clean sheet so that is all that matters.
Ayden Heaven also got a debut, late on. MLS had to make do with a sub appearance too.
Manchester City, Aston Villa and Chelsea all fell at this stage leaving Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Brentford, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the draw with us.
We drew Crystal Palace at home, and welcome Eddie Nketiah and Matty Turner back to the carpet.
Positive night!!

Professional performance, got some minutes into some squad players which does seem important given that we seem to be picking up an injury every game at the moment. Obviously fantastic goal from Nwaneri but his all round game is so impressive for someone so young. He's certainly going to force Arteta's hand he has to give him minutes in the league and it has to be proper minutes not just the odd one here and there.

Satisfied with 3-0.Could and should have been more.
Preston didnt really offer too much resistance. Nwaneri was class. Sterling was not. Palace at home next round.
This is our best chance of a trophy and hopefully we can progress

Very happy with our performance. Ethan surely can go the same way as Saka. He got it all already. Class goal.
Think Kiwior had a very good game as well. People tend to write off players too easily. Zinny also needed a good game and he delivered.
Next round Palace at home. Next opportunity to give our youngsters a game.
