I’m confident “ new manager bounce" under Ruud is achievable, I saw enough against a poor Leicester to justify that.
There’s a strange conundrum with a couple of players, Rashford for example, impact is key if he wants to catch Ruben’s eye, but not so spectacular to gain a call up, he needs to be present @ Carrington.
Marcus apart, ( will Mainoo, McGuire be fit ? ) it’s great for us we’ll have no call up’s for England.
Throw in a few “ niggles “ to the likes of Ganacho, Bruno, de Ligt and the assumed non call up’s Casa, Anthony, any others ?
Amorim will have a unique advantage over our rivals, who, no matter how well they prepare, they do so in the knowledge international managers prioritise results over club concerns. there will be the usual injuries picked up by other clubs players.
He has two weeks to get his ideas across with certainty of availability and hopefully on the back of a few decent results under Ruud, confidence could be high.
