Utd delay stadium decision

Utd have delayed the decision on whether to build a new stadium or redevelop OT until next summer, awaiting further details on feasibility and land availability. The original plan was to make a decision by December 2024. The redevelopment is part of a larger regeneration project in Greater Manchester, potentially involving a 100,000 seater stadium. About 52% of fans surveyed favour a new stadium while 31% prefer redeveloping OT with 17% undecided. Survey sent to 500,000 fans with 50,000 responding.

They sent out a proposal for a 100,000 seater stadium to 500,000 fans?

Average response: "hello, yes, I would prefer to see a new stadium when watching on my iPad. Old stadium is getting boring on my iPad"

Huge revenue booster if it goes ahead. How the hell we pay for a new 2.5bn stadium, maintain the Glazer debt and also improve the squad at the same time is anyone's guess though.

Imagine we will be bringing through a lot of youth over the next 4-5 years though which is no bad thing. Our 18's are champions and absolutely battering everyone they play right now.

Huge revenue booster if it goes ahead. Terrible waste of money if it doesn't. I have never been to Old Trafford

I believe it was all members, I competed the survey.

I’m aware any new stadium or development will increase ticket prices, but I don’t want to be priced out so I’m glad they’re at least taking that into consideration.

Build a new staduim on the same site as OT and like Spurs, play at Wembley in the meantime. The home fans will be delighted.

This has refurbishment of Old Trafford written all over it.

You'll be lucky to get anything delivered before 2030.
