I was expecting Chelsea to put Arsenal in a spliff this afternoon.
They could have been 3 goals up inside 25 minutes if they weren't so wasteful. Especially the open goal. There was an early warning sign with Palmers shot early on
Matinelli should have scored in the 1st half but he is off form.
The one he got in the 2nd half was fortunate because he was played onside.
Our defense fell asleep for the equalizer but a draw was a fair result on reflection.
As for the title only 9 points behind Liverpool
A decent side with a winning mentality and a world class coach could catch them up .
Instead We have a dog called Win
Chelsea 1 Arsenal 1

I thought we played ok certainly better than recently we had a level of control and we looked threatening for most of the game which is an improvement. I think in terms of the league we need to forget about trying to chase down the top team and just try and concentrate on getting a bit of consistent form. We are more than capable of going on a run we proved that after Christmas last season. Fair play to Odegaard he's had five minutes of football in two months and he lasted the 90 he makes such a difference to this team. If he stayed fit then I certainly think we can make up some ground would that be enough we will have to see. The bigger question is why haven't we got an able replacement for Odegaard the whole attacking structure shouldn't break down if one player is not available Arteta and the club have got to answer that question.

Unfortunately for us we just can't seem to make our dominance count against the bigger teams at the minute. When we have these 20/30 minutes spells we need to kill the game similarly to how a Liverpool have been doing this year. Whether it's an age or experience thing I'm not sure but I think it'll come sooner rather than later and once we've done it once they'll kick on and keep doing it. Shame though because arsenal were there for the taking today.

For me this match clearly demonstrated the mistake of not signing an out and out striker in the transfer window. We created at least three clear cut chances and a proper striker would have converted at least one of them.

You had Gyokeres on a plate it seems but for some reason your manager decided not to go with it. Think you'd have won the title this season if you'd signed him in the summer.
