Bruno’s quotes on Garnacho

Bruno Fernandes: “Garnacho scored a banger… but he didn't celebrate like he should because he thinks he has lost faith from some fans".

“I told him that people will always moan… but lots of people like you and enjoy what you do".

Just shows that fans criticism and social media does affect players.

I do think he’s been overplayed by our managers. He’s still a kid and needs to be protected more.

Bruno is our best and most creative player. Yes hes been crap this season but so have all he other players and the team as a whole. They have been diabolicle under Ten Hag for a while now, If you watch United games you can see him on the big pitch conduct most of United's creative pasages of play on the front foot which have been wofeully lacking this season so far. He gave his shirt to that lad cos hes one of the good ones in life. He also knows that United supporters in the ground at OT will always support the team no matter who the manager is or wheter any players givesa ypung lad his match shirt. And its never hard to support United at Old Trafford. In fact I would say its almost impossible for a United supporter.

People act like it's just been this season that Bruno hasn't been very good. He's been pretty poor for large chunks of the last of the last 3 seasons.

Brilliant on his day but I don't get the narrative that he's our best player.

He's still our best player though. No one has stood out over the past few years for a period of time.

Of course there are issues with Bruno and an argument can be made that maybe the side could move forward better without him but without doubt Bruno is our best and most influencial player.

He is absolutely not our best player. I can count the number of his good games for the last year or so on the fingers of one hand. The problem with Bruno (and it’s a huge problem) is that when things go wrong for him, his creative power becomes a force of self destruction that profits to opponent. Sometimes, even when he scores or assists, his overall influence on the game is negative.

I think without a shadow of a doubt that over the past 5 years, Bruno has been our best player - the caveat to that is no-one has been that great over the past 5 years, so it's not exactly a high-level competition to be our best player during that time.

In terms of individual talent as to whether he is our best player, then you could argue that perhaps the likes of Mainoo, Hojlund, Garnacho, Yoro could surpass him, but currently it's hard to argue that he hasn't been our best player.

Those that say he hasn't - who can you honestly say has been better than him? A few could be better than him, but yet to prove it.

You need to see him play a few times. Thats all I can say. We are never going to agree on him. BTW Its not 'my narrative' on here, you plank. But I know and most United supporters also know and most football experts agree, that he is our best creative player out of a very average bunch.

No one is standing out massively but it's certainly not indisputably Bruno. Mazraoui looks our best player at the moment albeit over a short period.

Like I say, most other supporters and football experienced people thinks he probably is (which isnt hard considering the other players).... apart from a few, such as yourself?

Playmaker

He clearly has developed, that isn't to say he's finished developing but he's a better all round player than he was 2 years ago.

Let's also take into account how sh-t the team as a whole have been the past season and a bit and that will obviously have an impact on any players own contribution.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you think so? Fair enough I won't knock that, personally I don't see it. When he was new, defenders couldn't read him, now they can. When he takes on players he looks uncertain and gets dispossessed. He's clearly been told to square the ball more but no one appears to have worked with him on this, including watching the runs from forwards so no partnerships have been built between them. Hence why when he does try to square, the ball never finds its man, usually getting intercepted. That's just a couple of examples. I also think that's why he prefers to go for goal most times. I want to stress - it's NOT his fault. I just don't think anyone's been working to improve aspects of his game.

You look at Antony, same thing over and over again. Greenwood also. He just ended up making driving runs into the box from the right and taking shots on goal. Like Garnacho, he burst onto the scene and defences weren't ready for him, but after a while you have to develop more to their game to keep defences guessing otherwise they become ineffective.

I don't blame the youngsters, I blame the past coaching at the club.
