Reminds me of Ossie-ball, try to outscore the opposition.
Romero….ok so he is a World Cup winner playing alongside one of the greatest ever players who complimented him, but really..
In a Spurs shirt, Romero is a weak link. He walks the ball out far too slow when we need pace and impetus. Thinks he is top class midfielder to pick out a pass and gives the ball away a lot. Lunges in a gives away too many free kicks and cards. I’d bench him for a month and see how we get on. It can’t get any worse.
Defence - primary role is to defend

Dragusin was terrible again, Johnson is still poor defensively and Bentacur should’ve done better in the build up to Ipswich’s second goal.
The team is full of potatoes

Northspur:

**Not true. Dragusin was our weak link in defense today.
He walks the ball out far too slow when we need pace and impetus.
** yes we do need pace & impetus, but Romero waits until someone upfield has gotten free of his defender.
Thinks he is top class midfielder to pick out a pass
*** I would not be stupid enough to try guessing what any player thinks.
and gives the ball away a lot.
*** Romero did not give the ball away any time today.
*** One poor pass to Kulusevski went into touch.
*** You could count that as a give away.
Lunges in a gives away too many free kicks and cards.
*** I saw no lunges or free kicks from Romero today.
I’d bench him for a month and see how we get on.
*** Our Aussie manager probably has to go....but you are certainly not a replacement.
It can’t get any worse.
*** it can, and probably will, get a lot worse.

Northspur. I was,at WHL yesterday afternoon, and the whole team was dreadful. Romero though is slower than a snail at bringing the ball out. Just because he was in a side that won a world cup doesn't make him great. That win was mostly down to Messi. He is bog standard average, and he would be one of the first players out of the door. His only contribution yesterday was him and Draguson passing sideways passes to each other when Spurs were 2-0 down. Son is another player that is stealing a living now. Captain and vice captain both letting the club down. They will both get the manager sacked this side of Xmas with the horrendous fixture list this side of Xmas.

Romero is an liability for us. I don't get how so many fans rate him. Easier to pick on Drag or Davies (when he plays) for most fans as that's the ways narrative. We even had players blaming BJ for his defending. Yet Romero goes up for a header and should be launching out the danger area. But the weak piece of shet he is meant he managed to knock it about 5 metres away and Ipswich score.
I do not rate him at all. Possibly the lost overrated defender we have had at the club in my lifetime. If we had a decent coach, maybe he would improve. But we don't have a decent coach. We have a coach who doesn't improve players. Doesn't improve results. Doesn't improve performances.
Where is this club going? Round in circles is my theory.

I think all the defensive players deserve criticism, not just Romero. I think Dragusin was poor again - and it has nothing to do with him playing on the left, he was pitiful midweek too when he was on the right.
I'd like to see Udogie and Porro be stronger in their tackles. They seem more interested in trying to retain possession when tackling rather than just clearing the danger.
I'd like to see Werner on the next plane back to Germany.
Son has been really disappointing this season too. He's our captain and a just does not inspire the team enough through his play imo.
The only players that I see show any kind of technique, composure and desire are Solanki and Bentancur (and also Kulusevski up until recent games).

This says more about the coach than a thing else to me. All those players regressing under the coach. Why doesn't he improve players?

Look, even I have to admit that Ange is under pressure and that his tactics are leaving him (and the team) exposed. He definitely needs to change his approach to games, or he'll be sacked.
However, I attend every home game and I sit there sometimes in utter disbelief at how professional footballers can be so poor at even the basics. Yes, the manager must take ultimate responsibility, but the players must too.
Son seems to be immune from real criticism, but I think he's part of the problem. I mean, if one of our most senior players (and captain to boot) doesn't perform well, I'm not surprised that this spreads to the younger players and beyond

Yea fair comment. And I agree about Son. Some players will naturally digress with age and that's probably what is happening with Son.
But having younger, hungry players going backwards IMO is an indication of a managers ability to coach. Players should improve in a system and also indivually under a good coach.
I don't believe he will be sacked soon anyway, but I'm very sceptical about Ange leading us to better things. I'd rather cut our losses and "gamble" on another manager as I feel a gamble is better than what we have currently. I have no faith in Ange. He is the sort of manager than could get a draw at City and then the pressure is eased, then lose the next 2 games. I have no idea.

Total and utter Rubbish. Messi called Romero "the best center Back in the world".
