So, a man from Liverpool (no surprises here) has been jailed for more than 3 years after selling 'dodgy' Firesticks to allow access to pirate streams of Premier League football.
Seems very harsh to me. The government are releasing people who have been sentenced in prison for violent offences and then we’re putting people like this guy in prison for 3 years for illegally streaming football matches.
Football fans are being ripped off these days. Who can afford to pay for Sky, TNT, Premier etc over £1000 per year? You don't even get to watch the matches you want.
I am living in the Qatar at the moment and you can watch every single EPL match live for less than £10 a month, including 3pm Kick-offs. The price also includes every UCL match, La Liga, Bundesliga, Seria A etc.
How much do you pay per month to watch football?.
If you use firesticks, does this put you off?. Don't think they can target individual users

As an aside on general costs..a mate I play golf with smokes 40 a day
Have you any idea how much a packet of cigs is...?
We estimated he spends five figures a year on that particular pleasure...makes a year of Sky look cheap

Around £10k but he won't have to pay that for much longer as he'll be dead. 40 a day?! Assuming 8 hours sleep that's a smoke around every 24 minutes

I pay about $15 Canadian a month for every PL game and another 3 pounds 49 a month for every Leeds game a day late.
I could pay 10 pounds a game live for Leeds when they're in the championship but I'm too cheap

No matter what anyone says, the quality of IPTV, isnt that good. Rather pay, to get the quality, and not be worried about looking at Phone, because your two minutes behind.
Its not a a good experience

It's quite funny how watching football on TV has become too an expensive of an activity. Not just actually going to the real life games themselves. What will be next, paying to find out the score?

I hope Flashscore didn’t read this.

I wonder how most if you would have coped in the 70s and 80s.
Highlights only. Match of the day Saturday night.
The Big Match Sunday afternoon. Live matches were Fa Cup final and the world cup/euros..
1 live match a week from about 1983. Also either you went to the game in a period where hooliganism was in its element or listened to the radio for a live game which was mostly games involving Liverpool and wait to see what your teams score was. Or watch grandstand on Saturday afternoons with the teleprinter.
I would be quite grateful for what we have now if it wasnt controlled by a theiving bunch ofcunts
