This is an absolute joke and symptomatic of woke Britain and PC gone mad.

Luis Sewerez was banned for only 10 games for the disgusting act of biting Branislav Ivanovic.

Bentancur`s comments were described as a `racial slur`, they were nothing of the sort and Sonny was not even offended by it.

I think you have jumped the gun abit here. There is nearly 1.5 billion population in China which has close ties historically with Korea. I think it's fair to assume that it may some Koreans may have been offended aswell as neighboring countries with close hostorical and family ties to eachother.

And if you guys want to "grade" racism then so be it. But what Bentencur said and did was racist in my view and some of the comments on here are defending it. It's embarrasing.

The fact of the matter is this is all irrelevant. Two laws are looked at, did the player say something which may be deemed offensive, insulting, improper, provocative etc? Was this in relation to race/origin? The answer is yes to both and I believe a maximum of four games is the punishment.

The minimum punishment set out by the FA for racism is 6 games, up to a max of 12. For FIFA it's a minimum of 10 games

There's two parts to the law here. So there will be games for one part and games for the other part, I believe. Unless it has changed. Terry got 4 games which is under your minimum of 6, for example.

A good move for me as it seemed strange that you could get four games for the first part which could be for the things mentioned above and only get the same for the racial element of it, which should be deemed worse.

Of course there is grading in racism as there is in any sort of offence.

Bentancur could have said a lot worse things and no doubt his punishment would have been upgraded!
