Lukeman V Littler is the final of the 2024 Grand Slam of Darts, and begins at 7.45 tonight!
Lineups:
Lukeman
Littler
KO: 7.45
Where to watch: a dodgy stream or Sky Sports +
The semis took place this afternoon where Lukeman beat Mansell 12-16 (first to 16). Mansell took a 3 leg lead early on but Lukeman took over from there and he never looked in doubt.
Littler in this afternoon's other Semi final beat Anderson 16-15 in an absolute epic just now. The match swung back and forth and for the longest time Anderson seemed in complete control winning about 6 legs in a row to come back from 7-4 down to 7-10 up
But Luke dug in and somehow got a couple of breaks at crucial moments to draw level for I think 14-14. And then Anderson broke the throw again! Right at the end I think everyone was thinking Anderson will hang on here but somehow Littler took it right at the death. What a match!
Favourite moment: Anderson knew he was going to lose a leg against Littler so he just went and hit three bullseyes in a row, lovely stuff. When you're a kid throwing darts for the first time you always just go for the bullseye don't you?
After watching last night's QFs I thought Littler is going to steam roll everyone today, but after that match maybe there could be a surprise.

Really wanted Luke to get schooled
I guess Lukeman will continue the recent ‘outsider’ trend

He was getting schooled for a large part of that match. I think he will have learned a lot today.
How come you want Luke to get schooled? I think he's great for darts.

From what I recall Littler was averaging higher scores throughout most of that match and yet Anderson was checking out at higher scores (finishing on over 100 more often). Littler wasn't his usual self on the double to finish and Anderson was often coming back from nowhere to steal legs off Littler. You could see Littler was feeling the pressure far more than Anderson was who with Anderson's experience he was just enjoying it. Luke looked full of nerves throughout much of it

=======
He was going for 125 to leave himself tops. He was on 165, not an outshot, so the best thing to do. Facked up by hitting 3.
