Arsenal v Forest - Match Thread

I’m a bit pished after cracking open a bottle of duty free Tanqueray…so a simple thread that has taken far too long to type!!

No Rice and no White smells like a draw to me.

A packed midfield and Wood on his lonesome…trying to emulate the Anfield job in the second half, by bringing on the wingers!!

COYRs!!!

I’d happily take a draw.

Last season we would have considered this a free hit, not this season though. We could be challenging for a euro spot so every game matters; and given our performance and result at Anfield we can win any game if we play our A game.
I suspect Rice will start. He has a broken toe so they’ll give him a painkiller and send him out. White will be the only one of the best starting 11 who misses out for them.
I have a feeling Nuno will use the Anfield game plan today so pack the midfield, stay in the game for 70 minutes then boost the attacking options and go for it.

Expecting a fair few red cards for Arsenal today, they might halt the game for a while due to the weather conditions, or something unusual

Hopefully it isn't throwing it down in N.London?

If Rice does start, expect Yates to get straight in there and slow him down with a very slightly late follow through that lands on his toe, Yatesy will then of course apologise.
It’s strange to be going into an Arsenal away game, with expectations, normally it would be damage limitation.
Today could give us a very good idea of where we really stand against the top teams, especially after getting taught a less by the Mags last time out.
Hopefully, Nuno won’t play both Elanga and CHO, as I think they are more effective coming off the bench, let Sosa and Jota burn themselves out for an hour or so, then ring the change.
The majority of the team will pick itself, assuming we don’t have any undeclared injuries.
As mentioned above, use the same game plan as V Liverpool and frustrate them as much as possible, whilst keeping Saka quiet, he usually seems to do well against us.
Don’t see it being a high scoring game, 1-1 is my hopeful prediction.
