Amorim ♥️

Honestly since Jose left I just couldn’t warm to managers. Apart from that crazy new manager bounce I was never really Ole in and the less said about the end of that season with Rangnik the better. And Ten Hag 😬.

But now for the first time in around 7 years I’m excited about a United manager. He really has something about him and I feel like we’ve brought in the top up and coming coach in Europe and is almost that same feeling I had when we brought in Cantona, Andy Cole and RVP where we pulled off an absolute coup.

Will I curse the guy? I didn’t with Jose foe a while so hopefully this Robb pick finally unites this board after the civil war years of the post SAF era.

Ruben Amorim is highly engaging, charismatic, and honest. Insightful without revealing too much, yet open about what lies ahead. I could listen to him all day.

We're yet to see which is more powerful: ja606's Amorim honeymoon or ja606's hate for Mason Mount. Surely the quote below is enough to push Dazza into the Amorim-out camp.

“I have to tell you I love that kid. You can look in his eyes that he wants this so bad, and this is the most important thing for me.
I know he was suffering from injuries, he was not on the pitch, but now he’s trying to stay fit and we hope he can continue to be fit, to show all the talent that he’s shown, for example, in Chelsea.
He played in this system (before), so it’s perfect for him. I have two positions for Mason Mount, so he should be very happy!”

Eventually the tide has to turn. Let's hope this is the one.

I think the problem here is that you were able to warm to Mourinho.

Mason's biggest challenge isn’t securing a place in the team or squad, it’s his ongoing struggle with fitness, and that’s the most frustrating part for me, others conflate his continued absence with lack of ability, with a presumed lack of creativity and goal threat. His work rate alone makes him a valuable asset, but his recruitment remains puzzling. Regardless, we need to find a way to make the most of what he offers.

Mourinho was ace that first season. The whole fanbase bought into the project and he delivered those two trophies.

It went Pete Tong rather quickly after that though and we all know why.

I haven’t warmed to a manager since Fergie left tbh. Loved Ole but knew he wasn’t the king term solution and I didn’t mind LVG, found him a little weird like ETH though.

Amorim looks like a manager the fans will love. Let’s hope he can get off to a good start with 3 decent fixtures.

Seems very personable and well spoken, confident. That said I think his record was very similar to pre utd ETH, so gawd knows what he’ll be like after a year or so

Two positions, treatment room and bench.
