What are you saying now?
The usual wet wipes all predicted a massive loss.
0-4 Spurs.
Well done Ange ππ»

Tbf ive been pretty p!ssed with quite a few performances this season, and have complained a bit, but after a result like that I agree with Devon’s point that it shouldn’t be a “yeah but wait and see blah blah”. That was an incredible result.
The “wait & see” part should be implicit, same way when we lose and everyone loses it, it is implicit that we think “wait and see if we follow up with a win”. But no1 says that as, like I say, its implied.
Anyway, unbelievable result man. Very proud of the boys. If we can be more consistent then we could have a successful season afterall

You won't see Ted Automatic Don and the likes. At least Mack doesn't run and hide, but he will bebbangjng the same drum next time we drop points.

We are very near to having a great squad…
Another LCB, LB, CM… plus we will need to replace Richy, Werner & most probably Son, in the summer… not convinced by Johnson either… squad player at best

it's interesting that we've basically gone back to being a counter attacking team who's better against the teams that give us space to attack and struggle against the shiiiit teams who we have to break down.
was not expecting that under Ange
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pur average possession this season is about 65% Hardly a counter attacking team. Today was different though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure, but my point was our best performances have come against teams that don't give us that much of the ball, and give us more space to counter attack into.
We're a lot like Klopp's first full season at Liverpool - they also averaged over 60% possession per game but all their losses, barring 9th place Bournemouth, came against teams in the bottom half where they had 70% possession. Even though they ended up having a lot of the ball by virtue of the way they opponent played against them, their preference was to have less of it because their biggest strengths were pressing and countering after winning the ball back.
That's very similar to what's happening with us this season. imagine if after we lost to Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and City over the course of about 6 weeks someone told you that the next season we would beat city 4-0 and we'd actually be at our best in those games

It is worth noting that City’s X goal was nearly double ours.
We are City’s bogey side, or more accurately, we are Pep’s bogey side. Doesn’t matter how banged up we are, we cause them nightmares. Drew up there last year in the midst of our injury crisis, having to play Emerson Royal at CB. This year, first choice CBs missing and they can’t score against us whilst giving us the freedom of Manchester.
Back to the OPs point - time will tell. I said after the Brentford game that the players were clearly still with Ange, and it’s clear that remains the case. We’ve gone from the ridiculous to the sublime in 2 games - personally I don’t care, I’ve zero interest in qualifying for the CL. Ange has kept me happy by taking the cups/Europe seriously, if he keeps doing that then I won’t complain. Wasn’t bothered about the Galatasaray game - completely understood that line up in the circumstances, I expect us to go stronger at home to Roma now

where have you pulled that figure from? Understat, opta, markstats, xG philosophy all have us with more xG than them.

Apologies, you are right, I must have misheard/read something - it was 2.15 for City and 2.51 for us

Brilliant performance and result but can you say you’re really confident of beating Roma and Fulham in the next week?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Roma yes. They're a bit of a shambles right now AFAIK. Fulham who knows
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Drew both games!
