They say that men never really grow up and are really boys that never let go of their toys and most guys I know are ones who mentally never let go of their youth and spend their adult money on random stuff that make them happy. One of the guys at my company collects Star Wars memorabilia and even flew to the US just to attend an exhibition where he bid on rare stuff and ended up paying $3500 on an OG AT-AT Star Wars toy. This is a guy who owns a $5 million house and has the hottest wife and still can never really let go of that inner nerd. Fair play to him.
I’ve recently taken up collecting old Transformers UK comics which is quite a mission as they’re quite hard to come by as they were printed on very fragile paper and have fallen apart over the years. There’s over 300 issues that came out weekly in the 80s/90s and I have 100ish so there’s a long way to go. (BTW if any of you have any in your attics let me know and I’ll make an offer).
What do you guys collect or want to take up as spending adult money on childish things is just too much fun?

Re Lego a couple of years back I bought the Old Trafford Lego set. Plenty of hours spent on it and the end product was stunning. Was £500+ but worth every penny. So enjoyable and relaxing.
Keep wanting to buy more of the bigger stuff but I'm tight for space at the minute. Some of LotR stuff looks great.

Nothing for years, but when I was young chemicals. We had a garden shed which became my laboratory. I began with a set, then started buying them from the chemist's which you could then. I made weed killer, thermometer, gunpowder and others. There were holes on the bench but Dad never complained. Oh, something to burn a wart off.

I collect Australian 100 dollar notes. Some idiot in Australia sends them to me in exchange for some fake comics I downloaded online, printed and then stick in the washing machine for a bit to make them look old and fragile. Still got over 200 to print out. It's like printing money.
