Couldn’t care less about the league, we aren’t winning it, that will be Liverpool, we are in zero danger of going down and I think we will comfortably qualify for Europe again and couldn’t give a schitt about whether that’s CL or not.

The cup games are important. Roma are pizz poor, they are 12th and only 4 points above the drop zone currently, they are very much in a relegation battle. I expect them to go weak against us as they have Ranieris first home game against Atalanta on Monday and he will want the strongest squad available. I expect a win.

Rangers are absolute turrrd this season and there isn’t a Rangers fan alive that wouldn’t agree with that. If we deal with the Ibrox atmosphere then we will win comfortably as they are poo.

Man U - the big one - we need to get through - will be bloody tough, I reckon we win on pens

I would happily finish 14th if it meant winning the league cup.

I’m bored of finishing 4-8th and can’t get excited by it at all. Would love to see us go for all 3 cups and if that meant finishing 4th from bottom then so be it.

I look back fondly on winning the FA cup in 1991, I don’t look back fondly on finishing 5th last season.

Yeah we'd all be happy about winning a cup but finishing as low as 14th would take some shine off the season. Our aim should be to do well in every competition with winning a trophy as the foremost priority, and no reason we should be finishing bottom half of the table while doing that. The league is a better reflection of the progress Ange is making at the club, so to finish 14th even with a trophy I would have huge doubts about Ange, if Levy hadn't sacked him off already by then.

Nobody cares now over 30 years on yes. Bit different when you're in the moment isn't it? Finishing 10th or lower wouldn't be a good look for Ange, even with a cup win, and it's questionable Levy would hold on to him after that. I'd love the trophy but I'd ideally also want Ange to succeed and this project to work in building us up to being one of the best teams in the league.

If we end 10th then we've had a shocker of a season, it will probably point to countless flaws in the squad and coaching. Look at Utd. 2 seasons, 2 cups, and they're shiiit requiring a massive rebuild.

A cup at the end of Conte's reign would have been fine, salvaging a crap season. and the same for the Jose season, but it would not mean we were going on to greater things.

At this stage in our development, a cup would be great but 10th or worse would mean we are going seriously backwards and need to start over, AGAIN ! A cup, and especially the league cup, would keep fans happy right up until the next loss.

Cups are more luck orientated and as such aren't always the best reflection of how good a team is or how good a manager is. Look at Wigan winning the FA Cup while getting relegated. The league requires better managerial acumen as it covers the whole season, so I would want to see my manager perform as well as he can in it. 10th or lower is confirmation that Ange isn't performing as he should and will probably have to be replaced.

I've always been a believer in the logic that if you are strong enough to end top 6 in the league, then you have enough quality to challenge for cups.

Under Ange we have beaten City and Liverpool so we are well capable of beating the best. And we beat United regularly and they have 2 pots, so we have it in us in terms of quality, its just mentality and a bit of luck.
