6 weeks but he does need a few games to get match fit.

5/6 weeks with us means 8 weeks.

It does mean that we can't rest VVD throughout this period other than league cup game.

Hopefully Joey and Quansah have been watching the Konate blueprint in defending. We know Joey has that in him.

We need a better option at centre back anyway because you can’t rely on Konate to stay fit. He’s been playing two games a week which often means he breaks down too - not in this case of course.

We need a better option at centre back anyway because you can’t rely on Konate to stay fit. He’s been playing two games a week which often means he breaks down too - not in this case of course.

Bring Matip back for a month!

I'm happy with the standard of the two backups but the issue is Gomez is susceptible to knocks when he plays a few games in a row and with Konate out over the Christmas period we may have to get somebody in.
