I know we've often derided teams in the past for being flat track bullies but, as mentioned in the match thread last night, I'd be more than happy if Amorim can get us to that stage by the end of the season.
What I'm hoping for is that we are able to impose ourselves on teams that we should be beating (especially at home) and with that a clearly defined style of play. Old Trafford needs to become an uncomfortable place for the opposition to play once again.
Hopefully as time goes by and Ruben gets to know his players more we'll see more of a pattern emerging and something to look forward to next season.
I, for one, am looking forward to seeing how this evolves. Somehow, and I don't know why, this feels a bit different.

First of all make us a fortress at home. It has to start with winning your home games otherwise where's the progress? This means sorting out the defence is the priority.
Once players know they can count on the defence it gives them the confidence going forward. Then focus on the attack.
The thing about being flat track bullies is that those being bullied will very quickly begin to line up with a deep block with everyone behind the ball. We had that sh*te under Ole when we went on that crazy run undefeated away from home. It's what weaker sides will do when they know they won't win. That'll pose its own challenge.

Agree with this article, I said before the Arsenal game if we can start to comfortably beat 8-10 teams in the league that’s a good start and we can build from there.

How will you suffer exactly?
The football on display has been turgid for a decade yet fans still pay the price to go and watch it, and complain about it.
I used to go all the time, but since getting married I just cannot be facked. Rather save the money than sit there miserable watching these overpaid cants struggle to play football.

Probably by ending up like you... giving football up and settling to spend your weekends being dragged around shopping centres with the wife. Going to football at OT is still great day out compared to that. Win lose or draw. £66 or not ..... if you can afford it.

Agree to disagree.
I actually enjoy going shopping, having lunch out and spending some time with the wife and daughter. My job is busy so it doesn't allow me a lot of time with them during the week.
I guess I've grown tired of sitting next to grumpy fans in the freezing cold while watching low effort, soul destroying football.
I am very happy watching from my lounge.
The issue with English people is, they will be displeased about the price increases but do nothing about it. They will continue to cough up the money even if it will make them slightly worse off than before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK so its a lifestyle choice.
But to slag off any supporters who DO want to pay and go and STILL enjoy the match day experience is out of order. 99% of football supporters never see their team win anything. But they come back each season. And yes they moan but that is what football supporters do
And TV fans would also moan at Jim if the Club raised the price of TV subscriptions overnight. But he cant because the clubs dont broadcast their games live. Thats with Sky TNT and AP. And TV fans constantly moan about what they charge in the UK. So why not stop paying them if you think the football is crap. (One day soon the clubs will control their own TV games, Then they will charge what they want. Mark my words). Finally what do you want the English supporters who watch United live to do actually. I dont see any non English supporters setting an example either.

Some fans even take family members to watch the football with them. Football grounds in England are heaving with Dads with their kids and God forbid, even women.

Just be grateful, it could be worse you could've supported Leeds and been a thick inbr3d pr*ck.
Seriously though if it's about cost and you consider our players to be uncommitted overpaid prima donnas, then you can always go and watch a local lower league club.
