That manager at Chelsea has transformed them from weaklings, losing almost to all the clubs to a dominant force now, and hard to beat. I would have made the same comments about Ange, had he been backed up with better players this season after starting the last one with a blistering attack, which faded once the injuries abd suspensions mounted.
As a chairman, who has the responsibilities to enure success at the club, Levy did only what he feels a move to save money and hel the club!
He restricted the club to only purchasing from the kindegarten shops.
Our starting 11 do not have equal or better replacements in any of the positions. Not even in the role of keeper.
Our starting 11, the same core players have been involved in intense games for successive games and we are unable to give them a rest unless they get injured.
The manager may not say it but fans know it. The chairman isn't backing him up with seasoned quality players, Only with youth players inexperienced but have the promise of things to come.
For now, the first 11 is all the manager gets.
At the same time that we lack quality in depth, our medical dept is clueless. Injured players stay injured for months and are injured as soon as they come back, with the vicious cycle never slowing down?
The problem is not the manager. We could get Pep, and still be inconsistent. We need urgently new seasoned quality backup players, not just underaged teenage heroes!
Good job Chelsea. At least, you've turned around your fortunes.
Spurs are being left behind slowly

He wanted Neto, eze and Gallagher
He got gray, bergvall and odobert
That’s Tottenham Hotspur under Daniel levy
See you the same time next year for the same comments

yes rinse and repeat - same old same old with us
Bloody Levy just regurgitate the same crapula
Didn't Levy say we got our Tottenham back?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Levy now thinks the fans are happy with entertaining football regardless of results, not me, winning football is all that matters.
The bloke is a businessman with no idea about football, he doesn't give a shiete about the fans as long they keep turning up and spending money.

AVB didn't get players he wanted either after we sold Bale. We were still doing a lot better under AVB than we are currently with Ange. I'm still not convinced we wouldn't have a lot of the same issues even had we signed those players.
You can say we should be signing better ready made players anyway but it's a cop out to excuse Ange because of it. He is clearly underperforming compared to how we should be. Not having Neto, Gallagher and Eze is not the reason we lost to the Palace and Ipswich sides who hadn't won a game until they played us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately no manager under Enic gets the players he wants, so we will never know how any of them could have done
You get what you pay for in life.
Unless you a spurs fan, then you get the same old sh 1t for whatever ludicrous price Daniel levy charges you

No manager gets all the players they want at any club to be fair. Of course if you throw a lot of money at them then it helps. Was it guaranteed we would have actually signed them all?
It's not like Ange hasn't been backed getting other players he wanted. We spent enough on Solanke and BJ for him and he's told everyone he is happy with the business that's been done. Maybe that narrative will change as the pressure of losing his job comes into play.

No he didn't:
While speaking about the teenage winger, the former Celtic boss said to Football London: “Wilson was great last week. I was wrapped to get him. He was one I was really keen on all summer.”
”We had to be patient with him as the Dom Solanke deal went on a bit longer than we thought it would and we had to get that done first.
Seems like Ange got exactly who he wanted, and not what X or whatever your source is.

Notice how good Chelsea are now. This time last year they were floundering about in like 12th/13th place. Change of manager, and they have become title contenders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Helps immensely when you have no injuries too...we averaged 10+ last year

yeah....spent a chunk of time since the game, yes saddo I know, thinking about this. The chelsea manager had totally changed the club. The same players I saw yesterday the last time I saw them play, they looked like a bunch of weaklings and disinterested. I have only respect for the amazing transformation. Why we have transgressed in the same period? Because the backing for the managers are very much 180 degrees of each other. One manager got backed to the hilt and the other was given kids to work with,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That squad had been developed over 3 or 4 seasons hasn't happened overnight, this manager had just added the finesse and installed confidence

This.
They have been great for most of 2024. As much as Poch is a nearly man IMO, he got them all playing together and Maresca has just continued that.

AVB as the kids would say, was done dirty. He achieved a record points total with us and we were 5th when we sacked him. His first summer we sold Modric and the second summer we sold Bale. He was given next to no time to bed the new players in.
We faaaacked Poch over the season after we made the CL final, finished top 4 and had not spent a bean the summer beforehand.
We got rid of Redknapp after he had us in the CL
We sacked Joel at halftime of a Europa game after he got us back into Europe for the first time in a decade
Jose - 6 days before a league cup final - no well run club on the planet does that
Conte - wouldn’t sign who he wanted after he got us into the CL spots ahead of Arteta Arsenal in his first season.
I rate all of these managers above Ange - but this is the guy some of our support will go to bat for??? They back Levy for all of these managers above above
Bizarre

AVB was incredibly unlucky compared to other managers truth be told and I felt at the time he should have been allowed longer. I get that we had some big losses going on around the time and the football was dull but he actually had 1 more point at the time of sacking than last season when he got 72 points, and won all his Europa games, and lost the best player of the previous season. It puts Ange to shame really and makes it hard to believe Levy is backing him.
