If Spurs wanted to win, The board & Uncle Joe (before his legal issues) would have put far greater pressure on Levy to deliver a winning product.. But they didn't

If we wanted to win, we have signed the better player in Toney over Solanke (But there was no sell on), and we'd have spent the 50mln From Gray & Bergvall on players who would actually start and make us better..

Don't even get me started on resigning Werner !!!

The team we started this season with is basically the same team that was woeful for 75% of last season + solanke

Yeah to be fair, you can’t lay injuries on Levy’s door. Ange on the other hand - Romero and VDV - definitely. Son looking like he has boots made out of treacle.

Facts!

Can't argue with any of that.

If this was any other industry he would have been long gone.

As basically the CEO he should be held to account for the past 23+ years of failure but he is still here and will be for god's knows how long.

Totally agree with this

I guess it all comes down to what they - Enic consider success. Most business making lots of money is considered successful. In that regard levy is going nowhere.

For the fans who consider us a football club who needs to be competing to win, we have failed spectacularly.

It's almost certainly partly to do with that but Ange hasn't done himself favours either with some of his choices for who he selects to play, take off, and be on the bench.

Ange risked playing Romero and VDV like his hopes of survival hinged on this game and it backfired, we lost the game, and he's got more time to work with anyway. All very silly.

It's an article that asks a lot of questions without offering any answers, so it that respect is just click bait playing to the current mood of the fans in questioning our ambition.

I did a piece the other day that showed that of our circa £350m spend under Ange, 80% has been on first team players or players as immediate back up like Dragusin.

I would think that Spurs would have loved to have added may be another CB and a proper wide attacker instead of Werner in the last window, but that would have required say £20m + £60-80m.

I would agree that a CB was more of a priority and in an affordable bracket. I suspect that as we have 3 coming through the ranks that may well add real quality to the squad next summer, may be the decision was made to make do with 3 + Davies. I would suggest that if we had Tosin (a player that doesnt even make CFC first team) with Romero and VDV out we would still struggle, so it's not easy to source decent quality backups who at the same time are prepared to have limited game time.

Really teh only actual youth we have bought is Gray Bergvall and Odobert. The latter is injured so we cannot be sure what we are missing out on and whether he would be good enough, his debut was promising. Gray has been very good albeit not in his first choice position. Bergvall less so but with Deki & Madders as 10 options, we are able to ease him in slowly.

For me i would like to see a new CB (back up to VDV), back up to Udogie, a CM or Gray given that chance, and a quality wide attacker in place of Werner who can also cover BJ too. I think Richy needs replacing because his injuries are now just ridiculous....but in all of that i want these players to be quality, with at least the CM, CB and attacker being genuine first XI quality...and that costs money, so i would rather we get in quality than just fill the gaps with affordable players. For me that means next summer to properly fill all the gaps and have a core of squad that takes us forward for years.

The Levyista`s like to point fingers at City and Chelsea, telling us how we can not compete and they are the reason we have won fack all over the years. They also point to the risk of "doing a Leeds".

But regardless of that, the point is Levy could have done way more over years, he could have made good decisions instead of bad, pushed us on when we were close, made more of an effort to back managers and shown even a glimmer of sporting ambition.

The fact of the matter is, this club has never even been close to "doing a Leeds", and would have to spend staggering amounts to ever be close to any trouble financially.

Levy is an expert at pulling the wool over eyes, he has mugged off fans, players, managers, the media, everybody, and continues to do so.

Levy out.
