Mixed week for the Arsenal, with a disappointing draw at Fulham followed by an emphatic win in the CL over Monaco.
Next up is the visit of Everton. The Toffees had an unscheduled break, meaning they couldn't keep up the momentum of a 4-0 win over Wolves.
After losing their first 4 games, Everton have had a decent run. 3 wins, 5 draws and just 2 defeats in the 10 games following. That leaves them 15th and 5 points clear of the bottom 3.
After conceding 13 goals in those early defeats, Everton's defence has largely been their strength - an anomaly at Old Trafford aside - since. 5 clean sheets, and just 8 goals conceded in 10 (inc 4 at OT).
Dwight McNeil is their top scorer with 3 in the PL and 4 in all comps. Iliman Ndiaye, Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all have 2 PL goals each and Beto, Orel Mangala and Ashley Young have 1 apiece.
We last met Everton on the final day of last season. Alas, it was not the title party we had hoped. A rare Tomiyasu goal had equalised Gueye's opener, but it wasn't until the last minute that Kai Havertz won the match with a controversial winner. We had also won at Goodison early in the season, a Trossard goal the difference between the teams.
Recent results at the Emirates have included 4-0 and 5-1 wins, but in 20/21 a Leno own goal gifted the away team a 1-0 win as they did the double over us.
Hopefully we will get some good news on the injury front, could do with Gabriel against a Dyche team!

They've been rubbish recently though. Apart from beating a poor Wolves side they got smashed by Man U, and didn't score a goal in November.
Should be a routine win and if it wasnt for the dropped points vs Fulham I'd be tempted to start Ethan, but like every game this is an absolute must win.
Would like to see Jesus on the left, we need to try something different there. Unless Calafiori is back then give the Cala/Merino/Marti combo a game

Sounds like good news on Gabriel.

My preference (not what I expect Arteta to go with):
--------- Raya ---------
Timber-Sals-Gab-MLS
--------- Rice -----------
----Ode-------Merino--
Saka------------Jesus-
--------- Havertz --------
