I speak for everyone on this board when I say we’ve played far, far worse in games during recent times and come away with victories than we did tonight. What impressed me most was the mentality at 3-0 down, to get back into the game and bully Tottenham all over the pitch. Barring our GK we win comfortably 3-0. The new mentality is clearly something that has come directly from Amorim and we can’t say otherwise. These players are transformed under him.
It’s all there with this manager, he just needs time and money to bring in the specialist players he needs for his 3-4-3 system. You can already see the style of play and mentality seeping out onto the pitch. Shout out to Amad too, again he was phenomenal- is it too early to start talking about him potentially being a world class footballer? Not for me. I also thought Ugarte was dominating Spurs until he came off too.
As for Amorim? My manager. My sweet, Portuguese prince is slowly rebuilding Manchester United.
