Onana

Had poor first season, mainly due I think to a mix of nerves and bravado.
This season has been much better, including some motm performances.
I certainly think we need more positions filled before him.
Ugarte I like.
Shaw should be mentioned if possible.

Indeed, and when you add that he was not that great a player in the first place,
------------------
And the fact he had a year left on his contract.

And the fact Chelsea used that money to buy Cole Palmer.

Just mental.

There's been so many disastrous signings over the last 10 years that it's hard to keep up.

Mount would definitely make the top 5 though for sure and maybe even higher than that.

I often go in on Antony as he's absolutely crap and barely resembles a professional footballer let alone an 85m rated one but at least he's available most weeks. I will give him that.

The club is an absolute dumpster fire and is going to stay like this for at least another 3 years as we are simply not going to be able to move on a lot of these mistakes. Who on earth would want them?

The ones who are available we don't want to use

You do not know how long it will take to move on. Chelsea, who were in our position this time last year are now second in the league and the results are happening for them.

You could see their improvement last year under Poch but the owners and fans were impatient with the results

Chelsea did something we didn't do though. They didn't put players on twice the weekly wage they actually deserved. They gave out longer deals but on more modest money.

It's going to come back and bite us VC. We already know it is. We've experienced a decade of finding it tough to move on our deadwood.

Chelsea did have 38,659 players to choose from though. It just needed a good manager to put together a decent team.

The club isn’t ’royally screwed’ imo.

It still has huge global appeal and a revenue that most can only dream of.

What we need to see is good recruitment. And fast.

There will be players in this squad that can play in the new system and with the right players around them.

It can quickly improve.

But I can’t honestly say the last time I think United bought someone who was nailed on as a good signing.

Herrera and Bruno.

Amad for £19m was a bargain.

Ibrah and Cavani weren't bad although neither at their peak.

What Winston said.

We still need to get rid of the trash. Chelsea got rid of all those "big name"players who were just a bit above average and went out for completely new players.

We are still here depending on Bruno when if you look at all our best chances missed, he is behind it. We are in the same position we were with Rashford last year. They are our "big name" players who decide our limit.

We need to be brave, or we will be stuck in the same place we are now.
