Saka injury update

Arteta just confirmed Saka has had surgery and will be out for more than 2 months. Usually when athletes have surgery on torn hamstrings it means 3 months out. Surely we will get an attacker in January?

Given the situation I can live with Havertz and Jesus through the middle until the end of the season we must get someone who can play primarily on the right but if they can play in the other forward positions then that's advantageous.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery and isn't rushed back. He's played an awful lot for any player of any age let alone from so young while constantly having midfielders and defenders double/triple up on him.

As for signings, his injury doesn't really make much difference. We were short of quality in the front 3 and needed a top player brought in regardless.

The good thing is we have players who can operate wide and centrally to one degree or another so bringing in either a top winger or CF in Jan (or asap) is crucial regardless of Saka being injured, no need to think of nonsense like keeping the powder dry until summer as if the signing wouldn't be as crucial then as it is now...

Not surprised.
Arteta criminally overplayed Saka.
Never substituted him. Never got anyone who could play RW. Got Sterling and still kept playing Saka 90mins week in week out

Please take Rashford

Rashford is exactly the type of short-termist panic signing we've seen year after year under Kroenke.

We all knew Raheem Sterling was going to happen well before he was announced. Time was running out, and we ended up with an out-of-favour player from a rival club for the umpteenth time.

I would take Kolo Muani on loan. He has power and pace and also both footed.

The only way I could justify this would be on a loan-to-buy deal. Otherwise it would just be a waste of time.

I'd rather give a couple of academy kids a decent amount of minutes on the pitch.

Option to buy is good. If he does great buy him and if he is rubbish we just let him go back.

You've got to hope he hasn't used the same surgeon that botched Aaron Hickey's hammy op - been out 14months thus far

Yeah, Saka has been subbed off in the majority of games.
