Great moment for him.
Last season’s exit left a bitter taste for a many but he’s shown a lot of character this season. He’s got his head down, let his performances speak for him and he’s been a very important player for us. His link up play is underrated, he’s a tidy footballer and getting a lot better. Turns defenders well and staying on his feet more than his 1st season.
Obviously Rutter is a much more talented player but Aaronson’s now bettered his goal tally for whole of last season. We look a more rounded team this season rather than reliant on individual brilliance and Aaronson been a big part of that.
Aaronson

He was a player that in his first season I said give him a chance, funny how he walks because of pressure he was getting from most and comes back for another go, he might not be the perfect player but he's learning to play his game the way Farke wants him to, a reason Farke picks him every time!..
Farke sees his players and any good coach will/should pick who he thinks will do what is wanted!..

Agreed Germany. Aaronson has stepped up to the challenge set by Farke, knowing there is very thin competition for his position, and improved slowly as the season is progressing. His movement off the ball is getting better every game, as we say for his goal today.

The stuff he does, pressing like a Duracell bunny, making runs that stretch defences and creating space for others often aren’t as appreciated by fans as the step overs of rutter, but I think it’s clear that Farke appreciates it.
Rutter was an assist king but aaronson’s showing signs of adding the killer pass to his game too.

He is certainly working his socks off for the team, and we are seeing incremental improvements in his game. He is vital to us at the moment and he is probably the second name on the team sheet, after Ampadu.
There is still a lot he needs to do before he can be trusted in the Premier League, but who knows? A little more care with the final ball, and with his finishing, and we could have a player on our hands.

Scored more goals than Rutter all last season.
In half a season.
Yer people been desperate to get rid of him.
Strange

Some people will never get over the fact he took the loan option on his contract last year.
Blinds them to how good a player he has been.
Interesting you bring up Rutter, because despite how good he was, and boy was he good, he did have weaknesses in his game, however the same people who overlooked those will only focus on the weaknesses, or at least the perceived weaknesses in his game.

You can bet that some of those that are holding his choice to go out last season are part of the reason he went!..
And I'd bet if they were playing for the club at the time getting the same stick he and others were they would have done exactly the same!..

My only concern is if he gets injured who comes in at 10? We definitely need to be looking at other options in the January window to give him a rest on occasions.

Works hard. Took his goal well. Missed a sitter.
I like him a lot. He never gives up.
Piroe in that move though! Two excellent touches. Derby were chasing shadows at that point. They looked knackered.
More to come from this team I think.

Has come back and due to sheer hard work is reaping the rewards and plaudits. Not a single whine or complaint from him - been a real bonus for the team.
The build up, pass from Piroe, plus Brendan's finish was pure class. What a goal to win a game and put us top.
