But if I need players, I buy them, knowing they can't be registered etc until January 1st. But, shock horror, when the 1st comes, I have the players I have scouted ready to play.
It is just like the Wife waiting until it is time to leave before she starts to get ready!!!!!
Although we had heard nothing, I actually thought they must be doing SOMETHING behind the scenes to bring players in. The life of a Spurs fan, disappointment after disappointment. At least it prepares us for life.

It's not quite the same.
Spurs have a thin but capable squad with a manager who's limiting them & himself. You've got a capable manager but a squad that needs slicing & dicing.
I'd rather be them.
