You can't actually blame Levy!

Came across this on another forum and I have to admit Daniel has actually been honest from the start.

He's not in it for sporting success.

Tottenham is purely business and profit.

He is not "fanatical" and will remain lowkey and answers and loyalties lie to shareholders.

With this in mind no matter how much we all loathe him we have to admit he has been honest and constant from the start.

It's a shame for the fans.

Cub is destined to be mediocre with no real ambition to win as long as it generates profits!

That is until ENIC sell/new board and direction.

When will that be? How long is a piece of string??

I don't know about you but I will stop moaning and caring because end of the day nothing will change.

Why waste my energy and stress myself out when nothing will change.

--------

These are bits from an interview after ENIC bought Tottenham

------

"In the meantime, I’m not going to be one of those high-profile chairmen. I'm pretty low-key, and I'm not Alan Sugar’s direct replacement. Plenty of people have suggested my support for Tottenham lay behind ENIC's decision to take a 29.9 per cent stake. It's not true. I've followed the Spurs since I was eight-years-old but I'm not a fanatical fan. The decision was made on business grounds, but obviously it is an advantage that I have been following the club for so long.

"We wanted to buy a club in England, and we decided early on that it should be in London. With apologies, there are only three big clubs in the capital Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea and Tottenham was available.

-----

"Alan Sugar rescued Tottenham from bankruptcy, provided it with fantastic faculties, and the manner in which he was hounded from office was unfair. Sir Alan faced the same challenges we do now balancing the needs of shareholders, who want profit, with those of the fans, who want success on the pitch. Sometimes, the two do not go together. It is a balancing act. But Tottenham Hotspur is a public company, and, regardless of who is on the board, it has to stand up for itself.

Here's a video admitting it's all about investment and not sporting glory:

Telling us all that he is in it to make money not going hard for trophies duh!!??

It is us fans that are stupid thinking it was anything else!

Trophies and Titles bring money though, so his business plan is pretty $hit.

Lol I definitely agree but obviously his ideology is different and he would rather make money by saving than speculating.

In crypto terms he is a hodlr

From a purely financial point of view he has been a massive success and has won multiple premier league & champions league titles albeit these are in the financial world not the football world!!!

So you're telling us its going to be
"Sir Daniel Levy"?

Levy has no intention of winning anything. He knows spurs fans will continue to pay the price increases no matter what he does and he is slowly succeeding in turning the stadium into a tourist spot for day tripping fans.

Some mugs actually cheer him in whilst he does this.

The facts and evidence are there for everyone to see.

He’s sacked every manager that has dared to ask for more.

24 years. 1 trophy. Billions in profits.

He should do us all a favour and fack off then, about 20 years too late

Yeah you can. He even admits in the last paragraph it's a balancing act between profit and success for the fans.

Doesn't matter how transparent you are about your intentions, any football club should be run with success in mind on the pitch as well as off it.

I don't think being transparent really vindicates Levy for the complete lack of on the pitch success.
