Weirdly enough, I was at the game today - mate of mine is a Hull supporter and her partner couldn’t go.

First up, fantastic game for the neutral. Hull really did put in a performance (relative to the quality of their squad) in the first half.


Leeds, god knows how you’ve drawn that, and you certainly can blame Meslier; that second goal was shocking and gave Hull & their fans the belief to come back and get the third. You were absolutely dominant by that point and had no business giving them a route back into the game.

Tanaka, Solomon, Aaronson, and James all looked really good, as well as the RB.

Id be gutted if I was a Leeds fan, with that.

Back to the OP - I agree👍

No easy way to say it, Meslier was very poor.

I know stats don’t tell the whole story but this is pretty damning.

XG conceded:
Burnley - 20.3 - goals conceded 9
Leeds - 18.8 goals conceded 19

If you think Darlow is the answer you’re even stupider than Farke. FFS. Meslier is quickly becoming the scapegoat for our manager’s inadequacies, which may even include his GK coaching techniques as well as his pis poor defending training and set pieces.
