I think it's inevitable that no matter how we feel as fans, our club is going to support Liverpools proposition. Likewise with United and Spurs.
Chelsea and City may not as it will erode their artificial advantage and of course the rest of the league are likely to be against it, with a few possible exceptions.
How do you Gunners feel about this? I personally feel while it's bad for competition, it has to be done to allow the league to continue to really excel and to prevent City and Chelsea manipulating the market.
I'm trying to compare it to moving production line and blue collar jobs abroad allowing companies to stay ahead. Though ethically sketchy, it seems inevitable the top companies will have to do so.
Do you think this is a fair analogy?

Bit of a hot biscuit this eh???
An incredibly capitalist stance and no mistake. Many will say "you can't stand in the way of progress" and I understand that notion, but to be honest it does not sit entirely well with me.
Revenue sharing in the Premier League has allowed "smaller clubs" to prosper, or at least compete. As a fan I'm against what Liverpool propose, however if I was involvd at the top end (on a business level) I'd probably be all for it...
Whatever happened to our game eh... (and many other relevant cliches) !!!

Agree it's a purely fiscal way of looking at the game, but it plays a huge part in football now, as proven by City and Chelsea.
Morally, I'm against it. As an Arsenal fan, I will support it.

I can't see it happening, however the fact it has been mooted makes me wonder whether we are far away from a european super league... i think people will be talking seriously about that happening within a decade or so.

Very much against that idea, always have been. But I totally agree with what you say. That issue has been forced (verbally anyway) a few times by the European big wigs. It's a very real possibility. For me that would just signal the end for me... I could go on all day, I wont' though...

You must be expecting some very very high revenues to bridge the gap to City and Chelsea! Are Arsenal that popular abroad?
The City owners will buy TV rights and 'legitimately' pump in another £100M a year revenue to the club?

Bad idea, we complain that la liga is boring as Barca and Madrid starve the rest of the league. People abroad love our league as it's more competitive.

But the same couple of teams keep winning it.

thats football. there are always a couple of teams stronger than the rest, always has been, always will be.
the big difference is that although the same teams might win the league, they don't necessarily win it by a mile like in la liga, and any team can beat any other team on their day.

Instead of our big teams wanting to move the goalposts to compete with Barca and Real, FIFA and UEFA should make all leagues agree to the same (and fairer model) that is practised in the EPL. Surely this would make more sense under their Fair Play rules? I do appreciate that fans overseas want to see more of the big teams, but they would become bored very quickly if every week they saw Barca vs Real, Man U vs Liverpool or Arsenal vs Chelsea.
Time for the governing bodies to do what is right for the game as a whole around the world and not greedy minorites at the top.
Until this happens the big 2 from Spain will continue to not only dominate their league but also Europe and leading teams from England will try and fabricate ways of generating revenue to try and keep up.
