Haaland's new contract is a whopping 9.5 years, which in total, just happens to be 115 months.
They're absolutely taking the pizzle out of the PL now. It's the clearest sign yet that they're going to avoid any kind of harsh PSR punishment, as I suspected. This comes a few days after Leicester have also avoided sanctions for blatant rule breaks. It's now becoming clear that if you have deep enough pockets and the best lawyers, they'll easily circumvent the rules time and time again.
PSR was always Levy's 'bouncer'. It was always his way of deflecting blame for a lack of ambition and it's dying before his very eyes.
What excuse can he give now?
Haaland contract - a sign?

Not in this case. As 12 months at 0.5 is 6 months not 5. So he is right.

It is a little suspicious they went with that number, certainly seems deliberate to me.

Our chairman has boosted our revenues massively through legit and amazingingly executed means. Excuse him if watching others side step the rules and bury the truth beneath corrupt Execs and lawyers is an problem for you.
Shows the mark of some of our fans when theyd rather we get in with the cheats than play by the rules and insist everyone does.
I'm sure if we faced a points deduction for cheating you'd be saying " nice one Levy, good try". Not!

We're sticking to rules that are about to be obsolete, that's my point. Without the rules, Levy no longer has an excuse not to spend. It's quite clear that he doesn't have the capital to compete should there be more flexibility on spending going forward.
The other clubs in the 'top six' have stretched ahead of us. Villa and Newcastle are now outspending us (the latter will even more if they relax the rules) and we're competing in a pool with the likes of Brentford and Brighton looking for bargains.
Sorry Dev but yours is a failing argument. The PL has outgrown ENIC. If they care even slightly about the football, they'd sell but they won't because the cash cow keeps on producing.
This is our Mike Ashley period, I'm convinced of it.

Cheats? We're yet to see evidence of that. No one has been punished this year, despite the fact that Leicester have clearly bent the rules. City's spending this month suggests they're also going to get away with it so tell me, what's the actual benefit in 'sticking to the rules'? Sure, we're well run as a business but frankly, who gives a feck? We want success on the pitch, not on the balance sheet. No other club operates the way we do. We charge exorbitant prices but fail to match that with squad outlay. You could argue we've spent big on Dom and Brennan but those are larger transfer fees but lower wages. A real statement of intent would have been Neto, who Ange supposedly wanted all along. We got Yang and Odobert. Why? Because they're on peanuts.
I'm tired of making this point. We are where we are because Levy operates the way he does so feck off with your well run bullshiiiit because no one cares anymore and after City get away with what they've done by outspending the PL on lawsuits time and time again, the rules will be scrapped, leaving Levy's tiny little purse up shiiiit creek without a paddle.

Oh do me a favour. Of course they’re guilty. It’s now more about lawyers spending fortunes finding loopholes to exploit. City know that the PL don’t have the spending power to fight appeal after appeal. Money talks in law. It always has done.
